The Alternate Scale Native American Style Flutes by Singing Tree Flutes are a great way to introduce a different mood and new note choices at an affordable price. These flutes are an ideal size flute for a beginner. The sound is excellent with a super clear and vibrant tone.
We offer these as 6-hole flutes made from Western Cedar with a simple design yet an excellent tone!

We offer these in three different keys and tunings
Aeolian Tuned Flutes:
- High C5 Aeolian 440 Hz (16")
- Mid A4 Aeolian 440 Hz (18")
- Mid G4 Aeolian 440 Hz (20")
The Aeolian minor scale plays the typical 5 note minor scale that gives the Native flute sound, but it has some half-step notes in between, giving the flute a bit more medieval, and eastern European haunting sound.
Arabian (Hijaz) Tuned Flutes:
- High C5 Arabian 440 Hz (16")
- Mid A4 Arabian 440 Hz (18")
- Mid G4 Arabian 440 Hz (20")
The Arabian or Hijaz scale plays beautiful middle-eastern melodies, a super fun scale that gives the "snake charmer" feel.
