Baoding balls are used by rotating two or more balls repeatedly in the hand and are intended to improve finger dexterity, relax the hand, or aid in the recovery of muscle strength and motor skills after surgery.

Not only are they calming by giving you something to focus on, they also help to increase hand/finger dexterity and agility.

We offer these in two varieties; Rainbow and Sun & Moon. Both variants contain two 1.5" balls.

Neuropathy be gone!

I bought a couple sets of these. I have some hand neuropathy that impacts my flute playing. My right thumb, index and middle finger have had a tendency to fall asleep, go numb when I play some of my Native Flutes. I figured I would try these initially to improve dexterity and finger speed but they have become indispensable for my short walks and hikes. When I carry them and roll them around in my hands as I go, I find that when I get back home for a flute session, I can play for a long time and no numbness occurs. I've been using them for several months now and I can't remember the last time I've had a problem. There are a lot of YouTube videos available for exercises to do with them too. Ok, so they have also helped with dexterity, no doubt. Some of the embellishments that are a bit trickier to perform on the Native flute have gotten easier too! I think it's going to be a good habit to stick with them for as long as I play.
