Wet-out protection

wetout protection on a native american flute stop watering out

All of Ron's flutes come standard with an anti-wetting material under the block and in the flute which means you'll be able to play your flute for a long time without worrying about wetting it out! A flute-playing lifesaver for some!

Many keys to choose from

So many folks love the sound produced with the lower mid-range flutes and we wanted to be able to provide a quality flute in that key range. We offer the following keys in this line of flute:

  • Mid B in Sapele with blue painted bands
    • This flute is in the key of B4 (minor pentatonic) and is roughly 18.5" in length.
  • Mid A in Maple with blue painted bands
    • This flute is in the key of A4 (minor pentatonic) and is roughly 19.75" in length.
  • Mid G in Walnut with red painted bands
    • This flute is in the key of G4 (minor pentatonic) and is roughly 21.75" in length.
  • Mid F# in Cherry with red painted bands
    • This flute is in the key of F#4 (minor pentatonic) and is roughly 23" in length.
  • Mid E in Smoked Walnut with crushed stone inlay bands
    • This flute is in the key of E4 (minor pentatonic) and is roughly 25" in length.
  • Mid D in Spanish Cedar with painted bands
    • This flute is in the key of D4 (minor pentatonic) and is roughly 27" in length.
  • Mid C in Spanish Cedar with painted bands
    • This flute is in the key of C4 (minor pentatonic) and is roughly 28" in length.

These flutes do not come with a fleece bag, please select a flute bag from our selection that best fits this flute.

Ergonomic hole placement

Ergonomic hole placement off set holes on a native american flute

The mid D and C flutes (in Spanish Cedar) have offset finger holes making the flute more comfortable to play, especially for those who struggle to reach the bottom hole of the flute. Please note: these holes are aligned for someone who plays with their right hand on the bottom!

If you don't see a key, wood option or need a flute with the holes ergonomically set up for a left-handed player,  give Ron a call or email and let him know what you're looking for. Let him know that I sent you, too!

Note on Quantity In Stock: These flutes are made-to-order and will usually ship within one week of your purchase date.

    F# Native Sunrise Flute

I love my new F# flute by Ron Stutz. It’s heavier than I expected but plays beautifully. I like the fact that it has the wet out protection. I played it for a while and took off the block to see if moisture was there and it was very little.

    A lovely piece of wood.

Hello . The flute I bought is made of walnut and tuned to e. It felt a bit odd initially with the tuning different to my usual flute which is in f#. But now I love it . Is really brilliant on the higher notes and just have to be careful when going for the bottom note. I used it at the end of a sound bath last night which was attended by 12 people (full house) and I asked them at the end of the session what they thought of the flute and they all loved it (and I don't think they were just being kind) . All the best to everyone on this group and keep on trucking Jonny!

    Nice Flute

This is the first time I ventured to a new flute maker. I was a little sceptical about a two piece flute, as all of my other flutes are made from one piece of wood. I have to say, I am impressed. The flute is beautiful, and sounds great! The ergonomic finger holes make playing it painless. (I have small hands, and it hurts to play my B bass). The wet out feature is also a plus. The carvings and art work are a real beauty.
Ron does some great flute making!
    Thank you.
